Tripartite Meeting was Held Between BSMEPA, the Ministry of Economy and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development

Trilateral meeting between the Executive Director of BSMEPA Dr. Boyko Takov, Director of Economic Policy Directorate Mr. Jeliaz Enev and Head of SME Policy Ms. Irena Nikolova at the Ministry of Economy and the Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction Larisa Manasteri, and Mr. Miroslav Stoyanov, manager of the EBRD Small Business Support Program, was held at the Ministry building.

The meeting initiated in connection with information forums organized jointly with the EBRD. They aim to familiarize SMEs in their respective regions with the opportunities for access to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) professional business advisory services as well as the services provided by state institutions to support small and medium-sized businesses. The EBRD program is funded by the European Investment Fund and grants 65% to 75% of the grant.

Following the information forum, which took place at the end of 2018 in Plovdiv, in which BSMEPA participates with a presentation, for the current 2019, three more forums should be held in the cities of Varna, Burgas and Stara Zagora.

The purpose of the meeting was to analyze the past forum in Plovdiv and to identify the directions and follow-up for the implementation of two new ones to be held in the beginning of March in Varna and Burgas. Particular attention was paid to the opportunities for targeting invitations, defining target groups so that future participants in the seminars are the right enterprises who are aware of the program and expect to hear the specific parameters of participation.
