Israel Donated Yet Another Modern Ambulance to a Municipal Hospital in Sofia

 

Ultramodern ambulance for the needs of Municipal Second City Hospital in Sofia gave the Red Shield of David of Israel through the Bulgarian Red Cross. 

At the ceremony for handing the keys of the medical vehicle the President of the Binational Chamber of Commerce Bulgaria-Israel Mr. Avinoam Katrieli recalled that since the beginning of the year it is the third donated ambulance. Hristo Grigorov explained that together they will provide additional equipment and maintenance of the medical vehicle and commit within three months the number of donated ambulances to become four. Prof. Grigorov explained that this special vehicle is High Class 4x4 and there are no insurmountable terrains for it. "Our 2 ambulances are 24-years-old in the Second City Hospital - said the director of the hospital Assoc. Prof. Stefan Uzunov. - The newly donated vehicle, which has a portable ECG, defibrillator and supplies for emergency assistance, probably will replace the older one of our two ambulances, "he explained. Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova said that the donation was selected for Second City Hospital because annually it serves more than 140 patients, dispensaries and it is also helping homeless people in Sofia. She acknowledged that most of the ambulances available to municipal hospitals have been there for many years. "I want to thank our friends from the Binational Chamber of Commerce Bulgaria-Israel that we are working with on many joint projects and also helping us in our social activities. In this case they helped a municipal hospital to have an ambulance to be able to serve patients, "added Fandakova. She thanked the thousands of volunteers of the Red Cross who daily and around the clock help in emergency situations."
