In the period January - October 2016 the Bulgarian exports to third countries decreased by 10.6% compared to the same period of 2015 and amounted to BGN 11 973.0 Million while the imports dropped by 9.8% and added up to BGN 13 912.2 Million.
In the period January - October 2016 the total value of all exported goods (both for third countries and EU) amounted to BGN 37 895.9 Million and in comparison with the corresponding period of the previous year the exports increased by 0.2% while the total value of all imported goods added up to BGN 41 685.7 Million and dropped by 2.3%.
Main trade partners of Bulgaria were Turkey, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Serbia, China, Russian Federation and USA, which accounted for 49.2% of the exports to non-EU countries.
In the ten months of 2016 compared to the same period of 2015 in the exports of Bulgaria to third countries distributed according to the Standard International Trade Classification the largest growth was recorded in the section ‘Miscellaneous manufactured articles’ (29.9%). The most notable fall was reported in section ‘Beverages and tobacco’ (24.5%).
