BCCBI Team and Friends Created "Israeli Experience" for 1st June - the International Children's Day

President of BCCBi , Mr. Avinoam Katrieli, his wife, Ms Anastasia Maksakova and the whole team of BCCBI with the assistance of a few amazing friends from Israel (thank you Ezra Levi!) created an amazing Israeli Experience for the students of St. George International School & Preschool in Sofia. Parents and children could taste the internationally famous "falafel" and special salads from Israel, thus including the well-know "humus" and "thina". Visitors also enjoyed special black coffee from Israel with "Hawaij"  - a unique combination of herbs originating from Yemen, including herbs like hell ground, ground cinnamon, ground nail, ginger, nutmeg and others. The food and drinks offered came with a mix of well-known Israeli music which completed the experience!

The event consisted of two parts - informal cocktail where visitors could chit-chat and get to know each other and a second formal part - the panel. The panel started with opening presentations by the President of BCCBI, Mr Avinoam Katrieli, followed by former Prime Minister Prof Ognyan Gerdjikov and a final economic overview was given by former Prime Minister Prof. Plamen Oresherski. The Deputy Director of the Bulgarian Revenue Agency also gave a short presentation and then the audience started asking questions. The event was visited by many distinguished guests and they were very active participants - asking various questions. The answers of the panelists were very professional so a very high quality discussion was developed and time felt short. The whole discussion will be soon uploaded in episodes so all who did not have the chance to be present in the event could review it.

Bulgarian delegation of 12 mayors visited the home of Former Ambassador of Israel in Bulgaria, Mr. Shaul Kamisa Raz

In the framework of the conference of the local government held last week in Tel Aviv, many mayors from various countries of the world, including from Bulgaria, arrived.
During the stay in Israel in a program that was coordinated in advance, the Bulgarian delegation of 12 mayors visited the home of Former Ambassador of Israel in Bulgaria, Mr. Shaul Kamisa Raz - in Hatzor, expressing appreciation and gratitude for the special cooperation and active presence of the former ambassador and his embassy staff. The meeting included a festive reception, a trip in the settlement provided from Mr Kamisa Raz out of his experience as a head of the Municipality, a view of the Golan Hights and a security review, all in a short tour of the settlement.
The most exciting part during the gift exchanges was the award of certificate of Honorable Citizenship from the city of Mizia by the mayor of Mizia, which was approved by its city council, including a sequence of images of the natural disaster that struck the city, causing the deaths of 2 residents and many damages, leaving many without shelter in the flooding of 2015. In a proactive manner, as an ambassador, Mr Raz together with all the staff of the Embassy, the Bulgarian Red Cross, the Israeli Foreign Ministry, the Jewish Community together with Israeli and local businessmen, organized immediate aid and assistance in the rehabilitation and humanitarian support for the city and its residents in the framework of an operation "Warm heart". The operation received great praise and appreciation from the local and central government and the entire Bulgarian state.

After visiting Hatzor, the former ambassador traveled with the delegation to visit and meet with the mayor of Tzfat, a settlement in the alliance of twin cities with the city of Nikopol. The tour included a visit to the Old City and the ancient synagogue of Rabbi Yosef Caro, who lived for decades in the city of Nikopol and during this period even wrote his famous book "Shulchan Aruch".
The delegation was very happy and impressed by the visit to the north of Israel.

The Project "Plana Heights" should become a flagship for investment courage in an uncertain business environment and should encourage bold investments https://bccbi.bg/index.php/news-events/videos/item/1106-the-project-plana-heights-should-become-a-flagship-for-investment-courage-in-an-uncertain-business1 https://bccbi.bg/index.php/news-events/videos/item/1106-the-project-plana-heights-should-become-a-flagship-for-investment-courage-in-an-uncertain-business1 The Project

The Project "Plana Heights" should become a flagship for investment courage in an uncertain business environment and should encourage bold investments

Mr. Avinoam Katrieli, the President of BCCBI, was a guest of Mr. Velko Kamenov on the TV show "In Development" on Bloomberg Bulgaria. They discussed the volume of Israeli investments in Bulgaria and Mr. Katrieli gave examples of successful sectors of mutual interest: building and management of large shopping centers, development of modern outsourcing activities (including in the sphere of medical services), investments in the high-paying IT sector. An example of a successful investment was the initiative of the Israeli company TEVA, the owner of Actavis, who prefers Bulgaria as a place to open a new IT center.

According to Mr. Avioam Katrieli, the new Bulgarian government sets a new logic for doing business in Bulgaria, according to which foreign investors need not only to return in Bulgarian business, but also to remain here. After his meetings with Boyko Borisov and some ministers, the President of the BCCBI is firmly convinced that if the government optimizes and improves the work of the state administration, Bulgaria will become more attractive destination for foreign investors.

Mr Velko Kamenov asked about the other two initiatives of Mr. Avianoam Katrielli - the return of Bulgarians from abroad through the “I Love BG” Foundation and the historic decision to create a new City of Dreams “Plana Heights". Mr. Katrieli reaffirmed his commitment to begin building of the new City „Plana Haights” this summer, pointing out that a dream comes true. "One can buy a house with 150 sq. m and 500 sq m yard at the price of 80 - 90 sq. m apartment in Lyulin. Everyone should be able to afford to live in a beautiful and green neighborhood" . The guest finished with optimism about future foreign investments in the Bulgarian economy.

The President of The Foundation “I Love BG” – Mr. Avinoam Кatrielli was guest in“Radio FМ+” to talk about the initiation of "I Love BG"

Mr. Avinoam Katrieli, President of I Love BG Foundation and Mr. Emil Magrisso, General Manager, spoke in the show "Iva from Morning to Noon" on Radio FM+ on the initiation and objectives of the Foundation.

"My reason to start the Foundation is that I feel a Bulgarian and I am proud to be part of a nation with great theaters and a beautiful and intelligent society. Look around yourself. Look at the people around you, who are trying to be good every morning. See the Bulgarian who gives way to the woman with the child - whether in the queue in the mall, or in the public transport. Take a look at the little things that happen around you all the time and you are taking them for granted. They do not happen anywhere in the World. And I've been to a lot of places in the World "
Mr. Katrieli explained that the activities of "I Love BG" are aiming to connect and organize the capacity of people who believe in our country and know that Bulgaria is special.
"We want to awaken the power existing in every Bulgarian and to show the people that they are not alone and they can develop. We want to help talented children, we want to help elder people in need, but not only technically and financially, but really to show them that we care about them, that we are part of them. "said Mr. Katrieli.
