Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo placed flowers on memorial for Jews who perished during the Holocaust

Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, placed a bunch of flowers on memorial plaques for Jews who perished during the Holocaust, at the place where the last Synagogue was located.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Haradinaj stressed that in honor of the ‘Crystal Night’, besides placing wreaths on the memorial plaque for Jews, other activities were held in honor of the Holocaust victims and of the assisting role of Albanians in the salvation of the Jews at the time of World War II.

“It is really wonderful how the Albanians, on those circumstances that were not easy, have protected the Jews. We are now paying tribute to this monolith that is dedicated to the sacrifice, but also to the remembrance of the Jews of Kosovo during the World War II. As Kosovo people, we feel good that, based on these values, we belong to the world that respected the lives of people in the hardest times”, said Prime Minister Haradinaj, also recalling the tough times when the people of Kosovo were supported by the free and democratic world.
