On Sunday, 2 July 2017, the Asian Culture Festival will be held for the first time at Summer Stage in the Borisova Garden, in Sofia. 13 countries with representative offices in Bulgaria will present their traditions to the Bulgarian audience. The participants in the festival are Indonesia, Japan, Mongolia, Iran, South Korea, India, Philippines, Palestine, China, Pakistan, Vietnam, Syria and Thailand.
People could come to learn, taste and enjoy Asian art, culture, music, and culinary. Each country has prepared a program involving their representatives. Among the arts and culture, there are different dynamic dances by professional dancers with typical Asian clothing, Japanese cosplay, and traditional handicraft. At a special photo booth, everyone will be able to capture the moment with accessories from the different countries. There will be a location for the children where they can learn Asian games and entertainment and calligraphy lessons can be taken by everyone attending the festival.
Audience could also taste the exotic and delicious Asian delicacies such as rendang from Indonesia that is voted by CNN Travel as one of the world’s best foods.
The festival is also having charity purposes that is managed by IWC Bulgaria. Audience could buy the tombola ticket and win two international destination tickets provided by the general sponsor of the event - Turkish Airlines.
