Since the beginning of the year, the share of people who have decided to live in Bulgarian villages is with 15% higher compared to 2016. This was explained by the Association of Bulgarian Villages in a report on the Bulgarian National Television.
According to their data from the beginning of the year until now the percentage of people decided to live in Bulgarian villages is with 15% more compared to 2016.
Most preferred are the regions with developed rural tourism and cultural heritage such as Plovdiv, Sofia, Burgas and Veliko Tarnovo. The least developed region is the Northwest one, where there is growth of 2-3% only.
According to Borislav Borisov, the interest in small settlements is not only for the development of agriculture but also for other activities. Citizens from England, Germany, Austria, and even Russia are interested in our country, he commented.
Similar interest in rural investments occurred between 2004 and 2006.
