Mr. Boiko Borisov expressed his support and appreciation for Israeli investors and the activities of the Binational Chamber of Commerce Bulgaria-Israel. Different business topics were discussed concerning foreign investments in Bulgaria. The President of BCCBI, Mr. Katrieli, was impressed by the will of the Prime Minister to support and assist business initiatives. The Prime Minister greeted and gratified the humanitarian projects of BCCBI and requested to be kept up-to-date on significant for Bulgaria business initiatives in order to make sure they are supported by the Government and therefore create better business climate and attract more foreign investors to turn their attention to Bulgaria.

Mr. Katrieli and Mr. Kalfin had a discussion about the possibilities of improvement of the business climate in Bulgaria and means of attracting and assisting the foreign investors to Bulgaria. Practical and simple solutions were given as examples that already exist in Israel and other options that fit the administration in Bulgaria. Mr. Kalfin expressed appreciation of the humanitarian project that BCCBI have already organized and confirmed the will of the Bulgarian Government to assist foreign investors.

The Director of Sofia's Traffic Police, Mr. Tenev met BCCBI President, Mr. Katrieli with a very warm welcome to discuss the means of possible cooperation between both organizations. Various ideas were brainstormed through a very long meeting and a whole program of practical solutions was discussed and set into motion.

BCCBI and Bulgarian Red Cross Presidents on a work meeting in the Chamber
BCCBI and Bulgarian Red Cross Presidents met for a work meeting in the Chamber's offices in order to discuss the details of the ambulances that BCCBI managed to request as a donation for the Bulgarian Red Cross.
The donation had been already approved by Israel's Magen David Adom - the Red Star of David - the Israeli twin organization. This is not the first donation that BCCBI President Mr Katrieli manages to negotiate for the Red Cross in Bulgaria. "It is yet another symbol of the brotherhood between our countries", he confirmed.

Working meeting between BCCBI President and Cheif Prosecutor of Bulgaria
The President of BCCBI, Mr. Katrieli and Mr. Tsatsarov - the Chief Prosecutor of Bulgaria had a meeting discussing difficulties that investors go through in Bulgaria. Possible means of cooperation were discussed. A meeting with members of the Chamber is to be set in the close future. The Chief Prosecutor assured the President of BCCBI that members of the Chamber who may face difficulties shall receive support in order to feel secured with their investments in Bulgaria.

Work Meeting Between the President of BCCBI with members of the Chamber and Mrs. Fandakova, Mayor of Sofia
Mr Fandakova presented her vision of the development of Sofia City in different fields together with a team of experts from the Municipality. The creation of new body was discussed – an Agency for Investments, together with the members of the Chamber who were kindly invited by the Mayor to take an active part in determination of the possible activities of such a body with the clear goal of attracting new investments in Sofia, preserving the business interests while assisting in the development of the small and medium businesses. Many topics were discussed: effective forms of public-private-partnerships, the role of education in business, the needs of the IT sector, the needs of foreign investors etc.
BCCBI President expressed gratitude for the possibility to become a part of the process and a decision was taken to proceed with a series of working meetings.
