Tourist village with more than 3,000 houses is being built by an Israeli investor in the foothills of Vitosha Mountain. The Mini-Town will be located over more than 2,000 decares next to the Sofia village Plana and the initial investment is estimated at 25 Mln Euros. This was announced by the Ambassador of Israel to Bulgaria Shaul Kamisa-Raz, who took part in the presentation of the campaign to promote tourism among Bulgarians - "You think you know Bulgaria".
In his words, the project is in an advanced stage having received by now all the various permits, so construction can start within less than an year.
In the tourist village are planned to be built kindergartens, shops, sports facilities and medical center.
Village Plana is located 25 km from Sofia. It is overlooking the Rila and Vitosha mountains. The village is near the ski resort of Borovets, Belchin Banya and Iskar Lake.
According to the Israeli Ambassador the construction of such a type of green settlement will attract more Israeli tourists in Bulgaria. The goal is to attract foreign citizents to buy property in Bulgaria and to start visiting the country several times a year for tourism. He noted that a well-developed tourism is equal to a well-developed economy.
