On 6 October this year President of OJB "Shalom" Dr. Alexander Oscar and members of the Executive Board of the organization met with the President of the Binational Chamber of Commerce Bulgaria - Israel Mr. Avinoam Katrieli and management representatives.

During the meeting they informed themselves about the activities of their associations and shared the vision to work together towards improving the image of the Jewish Community and the State of Israel in Bulgarian society. They discussed and established short and long-term targets and compatibility of ideas, which naturally led to a shared desire for cooperation in the future.

Among the lines of discussed cooperation was more active participation in event of the community by Israeli citizens living in Bulgaria, as well as planning joint initiatives and general celebration of Jewish holidays.

For his part, Dr. Alexander Oscar promised to promote the involvement of young volunteers from the community in the performance of projects by BCCBI such as the pilot project of the Chamber aimed at road safety of students in Sofia implemented together with 120th and 85th Schools and Sofia Municipality at the beginning the academic year 2016/17.
