Mr. Avinoam Katrieli, President of the Binational Chamber of Commerce Bulgaria-Israel held a lecture on Israel Homeland Security in the university of UNIBIT. The lecture is a part of series of lectures held in different universities. Mr. Avinoam Katrieli was invited to UNIBIT by the Rector of the University - Prof. Denchev, who introduced him as a close friend of Bulgaria.

Mr. Katrieli, President of BCCBI, met Mr. Rapondjiev, Security Chief of Sofia Airport and Mr. Yovchev, former Minister Interior, to discuss security measures and cooperation with Sofia Airport. On 29/06/2016 g / Wednesday / at 12.00. In front of the Bulgarian Red Cross Chairman Hristo Grigorov organization awarded Ms. Yordanka Fandakova, Mayor of Sofia, the keys to specialized medical ambulance.
The ambulance was donated to the Red Cross by the Red Shield of David of Israel (Magen David Adom) and the Binational Chamber of Commerce Bulgaria - Israel.
The specialized medical vehicle is provided for healthcare in Sofia's Municipal Hospital II and will significantly improve medical services to residents of the municipality.
On the ceremony of the donation attended the president of the Binational Chamber of Commerce Bulgaria - Israel, Mr Avinoam Katrieli and the General Secretary of the Chamber, Emil Magrisso as well as other representatives of Sofia Municipality including Deputy Mayor of Sofia, Mr. Barbalov, responsible for the Municipality's Healthcare.

On May 28, Sofia was the last stop of the traveling culinary festival "Bulgaria welcomes the tastes of the world", organized by Mr. Danny Bercovich, Vice President of BCCBI and CEO of GTC for Bulgaria and Romania. Less than € 100,000 will cost 150 sq.m house on a plot of half a decare in the new settlement "Plana Heights". This was announced by the investor Avinoam Katrieli, manager of "A.Z.K. Properties' office after receiving a certificate for investment class "A" Economy Minister Bozidar Lukarski.
"Plana Heights" aims for the construction of complex Plana between Sofia and Samokov near the village of Alino. The investment amounts to 53 650 million. BGN and provides 100 new jobs.
The investor Avinoam Katrieli explained that the project will be implemented in three phases, the first envisages the construction of a village of 150 houses with related infrastructure from the shopping center, sports and medical center.
The planned construction total area is 25 000 sq.m on an area of 621.338 hectares.
Minister Bozhidar Lukarski said investor "A.Z.K. Properties" has requested to use the following incentives under the Investment Promotion - shorter waiting time for administrative services, individual administrative services and financial support for construction of elements of technical infrastructure, construction of new and rehabilitation of the approach roads.
An interdepartmental working group will be established to provide institutional support for the implementation of priority investment project.
"This is a serious investment planned for a long time by the Jewish investor. I wish you success in the implementation, "said Minister Lukarski in awarding the certificate.
Katrieli said the project for him is a dream for which he works for 10 years. "The project will have three phases. The idea is to build a new modern village from all perspectives. This is a green project related to the place where it is created - Plana Mountain. It targets from one part Bulgarian citizens who have the opportunity to buy a house at a very reasonable price, "said Katrieli.
He explained that the second part of the project aims to attract foreigners to buy vacation homes. The company already has clients from Israel, Australia, Germany, England and others. According to him, the attraction of tourists means new jobs, more tax revenue for the state itself. Katrieli thanked the CEO of the Bulgarian Investment Agency Stamen Yanev, Minister Bozidar Lukarski and Prime Minister Boyko Borisov.
"I hope that this is just one step that will attract many more investors," said Katrieli.

The chairman of the Israeli Magen David Adom, Noam Ifrah, handed to the President of the Bulgarian Red Cross Hristo Grigorov keys of two medical vehicles. Official guests of the event were Hon. Mrs. Irit Lillian, Ambassador of the State of Israel in Bulgaria, Avinoam Katrieli, President of the Binational Chamber of Commerce Bulgaria-Israel, the Executive Director of insurance company Lev Ins Mariana Maslarova, Secretary General of the Organization of Jews in Bulgaria Joseph Melamed.
"I know the capabilities of the Red Cross - we have worked together after the bombing in Burgas. Just in the short time of our flight to Bulgaria, dozens of volunteers with the sign of the Red Cross and many ambulances were waiting for us at the airport, ready to work together to overcome the damages from the terrorist attack. I was surprised by the timely organization and scale, their capacity to act quickly and appropriately in crisis situations "- said Noam Ifrah. HE Irit Lillian thanked for the opportunity to attend this event and claimed this act of charity can be viewed in a wider context, as of greater social importance. Her Excellency wished the Red Cross not to have to use the ambulances, which would mean that the people in Bulgaria stay healthy.
Mr. Katrieli, the President of the Binational Chamber of Commerce, said that Magen David Adom is the best and most effective unit for reaction in Medical Emergency in the World and their help and support for the Bulgarian Red Cross is expressed with donations of ambulances but also with education. Unfortunately the coming days hold high probability for those qualities to come into use and it is good to have assistance from such an organization.

After the ceremony the agreement on cooperation between the Red Shield of David of Israel and BRC was countersigned. The Executive Director of InvestBulgaria Agency (IBA) Stamen Yanev and Avinoam Katrieli, President of The BinationalChamber of Commerce BULGARIA ISRAEL met on 26th of January in connection with the signing of an agreement for extended cooperation. It is expected the Cooperation Agreement to become a important mechanism for stimulation and support of the business in the Republic of Bulgaria and the State of Israel, and to be the basis for the development of closer trade relations and increased bilateral investments.
It envisages active interaction between the two organizations on attracting investments and exchange of information on potential business partners (companies from Bulgaria and Israel). It also foresees the subject of cooperation to be investment projects (existing and planned), public statistical data, analyzes, results of market research and information on the state regulatory measures.
The Cooperation Agreement also provides that for the two organizations to work together to develop sustainable economy and to partner in the development of projects and programs related to public-private partnership. Mutual provision of information for business forums and exhibitions will be a further step towards the mutual attraction of investments from both countries.
IBA and the The Binational Chamber of Commerce BULGARIA ISRAEL commit to analyze periodically the results of cooperation in the framework of the signed agreement to exchange information about the outcome and to develop new proposals for improving the quality exchange of knowledge between the two organizations.
