53 calls for proposals in the amount of approximately BGN 1,150 billion will be announced next year under the programs cofinanced by the European Structural and Investment Funds. This was clarified at a meeting of the Council for Coordination of the Management of EU Funds at the Council of Ministers, which adopted the indicative annual work programs for 2019.
Currently 408 calls for project proposals amounting to BGN 17,996 billion have been announced under the programs, while more than BGN 14,5 billion or more than 62,5% of the total budget have been contracted. Beneficiaries have received more than 25.3% of the budget of all programs or nearly BGN 6 billion.
Next year will be particularly important, because in parallell to the implementation of the current programming period, we will start preparing for the next one. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev in the framework of a meeting of the Council chaired by him. According to Donchev, to maximize the efficiency of European funds it is of utmost importance to ensure maximum synergy both between the different programs and the procedures foreseen for them.
