Bulgaria’s revenues from overnights spent in short-term accommodation establishments across the country rose by 12.1% year-on-year in April 2016, reaching BGN 37.8 M, the national statistical office NSI announced on Friday.
The total number of the overnights spent in all accommodation establishments registered in April 2016 was 814,400, an increase of 12.7% over the same month of the previous year, the NSI said in a monthly survey.
The number of beds on offer for short-term accommodation of travelers in Bulgaria increased by 16% year-on-year in April 2016, reaching 150,800.
There were 1,985 short-term accommodation establishments functioning in Bulgaria in April 2016, a number little changed from a year earlier.
These establishments includehotels, motels, camping sites, mountain chalets and guest houses with more than 10 beds each.The total number of rooms in them was 72,100.
