In July, Bulgaria’s balance of payments remained positive and marked a solid improvement for the first seven months of 2016, showed BNB data, cited by BNR.
The current account balance and the capital account balance were positive in July and amounted to Euro 635.7 M, compared to a surplus of Euro 566 M in July 2015.
For the first seven months of 2016, the current account balance and the capital account balance were positive and amounted to Euro 2.2237 B (or 4.9% of the GDP forecast), compared to a surplus of Euro 1.2052 B (2.7 of GDP) for the same period of 2015.
Bulgaria’s balance of trade remained negative in July and amounted to Euro 32.8 M, compared to a deficit of Euro 254.2 M a year ago.
For the period January-July, the balance of trade registered a deficit of Euro 848.6 M (1.9 of GDP), compared to a deficit of 1.3923 (3.2% of GDP) for the same period of 2015.
